Anti-smoking Campaign: In the fall of 2015 or in conjunction with Drug Awareness Week (November 15 to 21).

Objective: encourage teens to become aware of false beliefs about cigarettes


Turnkey activity

Details

• Teens present a temporary artistic activity on the ground or on a wall at the entrance to a school or youth organization.
• Teens draft “shock” messages concerning false beliefs about cigarettes.
• Teens meet a school principal to discuss the commitment the school is prepared to make in order to promote a tobacco-free environment (for example by adopting a code of conduct or a school policy).
• Teens share a photo of their masterpiece and the symbolic agreement signed with the principal on the Youth Coalition Against Smoking Facebook page at lagangallumee.com
