They are unique, driven, enthusiastic and proactive, and they’re the terrific teens who make up the Youth Coalition Against Smoking Advisory Network! Aged 13 to 16, they distinguish themselves by combining commitment with dynamism. If you know a teen who’s interested in living this adventure, you’ve come to the right place, as we’re in full recruitment mode!

The Youth Coalition Advisory Network serves as a reference group for the Minister and the Ministry of Health and Social Services on matters related to the prevention of smoking among youth. With 16 high school students, both boys and girls, one for each administrative region of Quebec, the Advisory Network is chaired by the Minister of Health himself.

In addition to defining their position on issues related to smoking, teens from the Advisory Network take concrete action to involve their peers through traditional and social media alike. For each, the experience is extremely gratifying and rewarding, and the impact is felt among all Quebec youth.

The Youth Coalition Against Smoking Advisory Network already has seven members, leaving nine places for driven and determined teens from the following regions: Bas Saint-Laurent, Chaudières-Appalaches, Côte-Nord, Lanaudière, Mauricie–Centre-du-Québec, Montérégie, Nord-du-Québec, Outaouais, and Saguenay–Lac-Saint-Jean.

If you know talented teens aged 13 to 15 in your community who have the ability, availability and desire to live this unique adventure in 2013 and 2014, hurry and submit their candidacies to Olga Debiencourt, the officer in charge of the Quebec Council on Tobacco and Health’s Youth Coalition Advisory Network.
