Adult Facilitators
A YCAS adult facilitator is a person who works with teens and wants to help those who wishes to fight tobacco use in their community or even on a larger scale. It’s our job to help you help our youth!
1) Briefly, this is what you need to get you up and running:
If you’re not familiar with YCAS:
For a brief overview, see the Youth Coalition Against Smoking. Then, contact your regional agent for a copy of the intervention guide. This will provide you with a host of information and tips to help you motivate your teens and organize effective actions!
If you’re already familiar with the program, you’ll need the following:
- Participation form (to propose projects and obtain the necessary financial and material resources).
- YCAS tool kit (containing ready-to-use tools).
- Purchase order (to obtain promotional items).
- List of regional agents (to contact your regional specialist).
2) For further information on subjects related to the fight against tobacco, which you can use to support your group’s actions, explore our Be Informed section and click on the All subjects tab.
3) Become an official Adult Facilitator on the web site! You will then get access to our adults’ facilitators’ private forum and have your name on the list below. This way, teens of your institution will be able to communicate with you directly to start a project. To become one of our adult facilitator, you just have to ask by writing us at intervenant@lagangallumee.com
Published twice a year or more often, the Youth Coalition Against Smoking newsletter is a great mean to be kept informed about the activities put together by the YCAS teens an their adults facilitators involved across the province. See the last edition!
