By accessing the documents on the Youth Coalition Against Smoking website, you are agreeing to the following rules, and access is conditional upon your acceptance of and compliance with them.

The documents on this website are provided for information and enjoyment. Given that they are shared as general information only, you should not rely exclusively on them, or on any documents accessed via a hyperlink, without consulting a specialist.

The Quebec Council on Tobacco and Health (CQTS), which is responsible for the Youth Coalition Against Smoking website, provides no guarantees concerning:

  • the accuracy, integrity or updating of the documents.
  • the absence of interruptions, errors or omissions on the website.
  • the fact that the website and servers do not contain viruses or other harmful elements.

In no case shall the CQTS be held liable for any loss, expense or damage of any nature whatsoever resulting from access to the website, the documents or links to other sites.

As a user of the site, you take full responsibility for the consequences of the content you disseminate through the forums, by e-mail or in any other way.

The site must not be used for illegal purposes. For example, you cannot use it:

  • to organize a competition, pyramid system, chain of letters or spam.
  • for hacking.
  • to disseminate slanderous, obscene, offensive, violent or racist texts.
  • to disseminate material that would violate someone else’s copyright.

You undertake to use the site in compliance with current legislation.

The site managers reserve the right to ban or otherwise withdraw access to the interactive services for any person who violates these rules, fails to respect the rules of netiquette and does not behave acceptably towards other users or the site administrators. The managers’ decision is final and without appeal.

Every user is responsible for the confidentiality of his or her user name and password. The CQTS and the Youth Coalition Against Smoking shall not be held liable for unauthorized use of a user’s account. If the confidentiality of a user’s personal information is compromised, the user must inform the site managers at the earliest opportunity, to avoid possible fraudulent or undesired use of his or her account.

All communications received by the managers of the Youth Coalition Against Smoking website will be treated with the greatest respect and utmost confidentiality.
